Bonnie Cao

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Bonnie has always loved landscapes and nature, frequently exploring the Columbia Gorge and camping in the Mt. Hood National Forest. Despite initially envisioning a career in teaching, Bonnie chose to navigate the roads of Portland as a public transit driver instead. After visiting Alaska in 2019 for the first time, Bonnie fell in love with the beauty of its wilderness and made it her home in 2020 where she began driving a shuttle van for Aurora-seekers. Now, she works with Gondwana Ecotours as a dedicated guide, combining her driving skills with her passion for sharing knowledge.

In her spare time, Bonnie enjoys quilting and reading, and plans to build an off-grid cabin on her property south of Fairbanks.
