About Dani
Dani Catania is a mountain guide and tourism professional with 26 years of experience creating and leading travel experiences in some of the world’s most remote and inspiring destinations.
As Operations Manager at Gondwana Ecotours, he oversees tour operations, guide development, logistics, and partner relationships across multiple continents, ensuring every journey delivers the high standards of service, sustainability, and authenticity that define the Gondwana experience.
Born in Argentina and living in Ushuaia, Patagonia—the southernmost city in the world—Dani developed a lifelong connection to wild places and adventure travel. Throughout his career, he has explored Patagonia, Antarctica, Alaska, Tanzania, and other international destinations, combining deep operational expertise with a passion for meaningful cultural and environmental experiences. Dani spent more than a decade working in Antarctica and has led travelers through some of the planet’s most extraordinary landscapes. His extensive field experience, coupled with years of operational leadership, allows him to bridge the gap between strategic planning and on-the-ground execution, ensuring guests enjoy seamless, enriching, and memorable journeys.
A strong believer in responsible tourism, Dani is passionate about using travel to foster genuine connections between people, cultures, and nature. Whether developing new itineraries, mentoring guides, or leading travelers through remote wilderness areas, he is dedicated to creating experiences that inspire curiosity, support local communities, and promote conservation.
Today, Dani divides his time between Patagonia and many of Gondwana’s destinations, where he continues to help shape Gondwana’s growing collection of adventure travel experiences while sharing his enthusiasm for exploration and the natural world.
