About Jack Nelson
Raised in Northeast Ohio, Jack spent much of his time fishing, canoeing, and backpacking through the Allegheny National Forest. His love for nature and the outdoors led him to study wildlife and fisheries resource management at West Virginia University. After graduating, he moved west and worked as a wildlife firefighter and at the local ski area for the next five years. In February 2022, Jack drove up the ALCAN to Fairbanks, Alaska, where he now calls home.
His greatest passions in life are the natural world and connecting people. He finds purpose in combining these interests by guiding and sharing his knowledge about Alaska.
