Alaska Guide

About James Anderson

James discovered a love of travel while attending college in Reno, Nevada. Summers backpacking abroad created a need for a more permanent adventure, so he moved to Alaska in 2017. His first tour guiding job came soon after, working on the Alaska Railroad. He has enjoyed sharing the beauty of the state with visitors ever since.

James loves Alaska for many reasons, including the abundance of recreation it offers. When he’s not guiding, he enjoys skiing, fishing, camping and hiking. One of his favorite Alaskan memories is the time he went fishing all night long to celebrate the summer solstice. His next Alaska goal is to go surfing in the state’s icy waters.
