Melissa Hendrickson

A lifelong resident of Interior Alaska, Melissa was raised on her grandparents’ homestead just north of Fairbanks. With a wide range of interests, she pursued a degree in Linguistics at UAF while also working as a seasonal tour bus mechanic. After spending 20 years in the hospitality industry and exploring Alaska with her family, Melissa’s love for the state’s boundless natural beauty rekindled her passion for photography.

Today, she focuses on capturing the essence of Alaska through nature photography, including the aurora borealis, wildlife, and landscapes. Alongside homeschooling her two children, she raises small animals, volunteers as a hunter education instructor, and indulges in various other hobbies.
