Sergius Hannan

Sergius is a professional nature photographer and filmmaker based in Soldotna. He grew up in Homer overlooking the Kachemak Bay where he learned to appreciate the Alaskan wilderness from a young age. Earning a degree in biology and environmental science, he aims to inspire people to connect with the natural world.

In the summer and fall, he leads his own wildlife photography workshops around Alaska and Canada where he instructs guests on how to ethically photograph wildlife. During winter and spring, he heads up to Fairbanks to guide for Gondwana Ecotours. Although he has seen Aurora hundreds of nights, no two displays are alike, so he is often just as excited as guests to see the lights dancing!
