Pre-Trip: Nazca Lines & Pisco Tasting

Before joining the main tour, consider an unforgettable extension through Southern Peru, where you’ll experience coastal culture, winemaking traditions, and a visit to the fabled Nazca Lines. Begin in Lima’s coastal district of Chorrillos and visit a bustling market and fishing port. Travel along the scenic Pan-American Highway for a private vineyard lunch and guided piso-tasting at a family-run estate. Spend the evening relaxing at a tranquil hotel on the Bay of the Paracas. The next day, take to the skies for a scenic flight over the Nazca Lines. This series of mysterious geoglyphs, etched into the desert floor more than 1,500 years ago, are an ancient marvel. Best seen in the air, a scenic flight over the lines allows you to see the impressive scale of these geoglyphs, whose origins and purpose are still a mystery to this day. This optional pre-tour offers a deeper glimpse into Peru’s landscapes, flavors, and history.

This was an amazing tour. They do small groups and like to support the local economy, so we were able to go on adventures and experience the people, and local environment in a way that would have been impossible with a large group. They were very attentive and responsible to the needs and requests of our group. They had everything well planned out ahead of time and the places we went to appreciated Gondwana.
